I've always been a creative child, playing dress up, sewing painting, and exploring. I love getting messy and challenging the limits of what is Art. In high school, I participated in Advanced Painting and Advance Ceramic classes. Along with taking A.P. Art History and being involved with different art clubs. But my school didn't have any Fashion courses or design classes, so art was a way to express my creative side. Outside of school, I competed in different sewing competitions. Which expanded my love for sewing and creating. So the fashion side of me has always been there along with the creative side.
The summer between the junior year and senior year, I took a week-long Fashion camp at Kent State. And it was amazing! I would hope that every fashion student would seek out summer camps to be a part of. I know that the University of Cincinnati also has a summer class. Their program will actually take more students then Kent will but there are subprograms then just fashion.
There was a time period where I wanted to be a High School Teacher, not sure what my subject might be, but I just thought that it would've been fun.
I absolutely love school and I plan on writing a post about school and may schedule and what are the expectations.
At the camp, we learned how to make Kimonos on industrial machines
